The Honorable Donald L. McCullin was a long-time member of the Saint Louis legal community and touched the lives of countless individuals. He taught as a math teacher for Lincoln High School in East St. Louis, before graduating from law school at St. Louis University in 1977. Judge McCullin practiced law in the private and corporate sectors before becoming a Circuit Court Judge in 1999. After retiring in 2011, he was asked by the Ferguson City Council, to serve as Municipal Judge in the summer of 2015, to restore trust in the Ferguson community. To honor and memorialize Judge McCullin, his impact on the community, and his love for teaching and education, it is the wish of his family to offer this scholarship.

Purpose of the Scholarship

This Scholarship is designed to honor, memorialize, and further Judge McCullin’s legacy of dedication to the St. Louis community, and his passion for teaching and education.

Enrollment status :

Students seeking to enroll in the Professional Trucking Institute (PTI) with an urban demographic. Students must meet all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements prior to acceptance.

Financial need :

Recipient must demonstrate financial need.

Selection process:

This scholarship shall be administered through the Professional Trucking Institute (PTI) at the direction of Scholarship Committee.

Amount:

The amount of the award will be decided by the Scholarship Committee.

Your application will be evaluated on the following:

  • Your future goals and plans and strategy to achieve them.
  • Your preparation to pursue successful CDL training.
  • Your self-motivation in completing challenging coursework.
  • Leadership - your plans for community involvement and activities, after a successful career is secured.
  • Your demonstration of financial need.
  • Length and detail of your answers.

ROBERT "ANDY" ANDERSON MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Robert Anderson (Andy) was a Humanitarian always willing to serve those in need. He volunteered a lot of his time helping in food pantries and making home deliveries over the holidays to those in need. He dedicated his life to serving and helping others. Andy also held various leadership roles in his church. He made an impact on many here in the St. Louis Area and those who knew him respected him.
